4th Quarter Group Production

     This quarter we were put in groups to come up with a product, we also had to make a logo, website, commercial and packaging design for it. We had the entire quarter to work, we had two weeks to spend on each aspect of it and then prepare our presentation. Our group didn't really face challenges because we got our product idea fairly quickly and everything went smoothly from there. We all split up the work evenly or everyone designed something then we would vote which one we would use on the website as our final product. I learned that a well working team is about cooperation and everyone needs to be willing to work, if you don't have that then your team will face difficulties.  When I was designing the packaging I had to make several designs because once you put something in Sketchup it can look very different than you originally intended. I believe that I did a pretty good job this quarter, I designed our logo and advertising, the intro video, and packaging design. h

House

Goal of project The goal of this project was to make a house on SketchUp. We started off with learning how to use the program and getting used to it. Once we knew how to use it we went onto Houseplans.com and chose a house. After looking around and finally finding house you liked, we went back onto SketchUp and started to make it. What I learned With this project I learned about a new program that I had never heard about before. I had never used SketchUp before but it was useful program to learn about. I learned how to make houses on it and all the other stuff I could do with it.  What I would do different Next time I would choose a more complex house to make.

Personality Type

       My Myers-Brigg personality type is an ENTP. Each letter stands for something, the E means that I am more Extroverted than Introverted. The N is for Intuition over Sensing, the T means that I think or feel. Lastly is P an that means I Perceive over Judge. Some of the famous people that share my personality type are Alexander the Great and Walt Disney.      I think my personality type describes me rather well. One of the things that was right on was that ENTPs are curious and I think of myself as a very curious person. There is always something new that catches my interest everyday. Another thing that was spot on about me was that I don't like to judge people quickly, I don't know what their situation is and its not correct to just quickly label someone without getting to know them better. Bouncing Ball Animation

       The second project we did in animation was make 3 bouncing ball animations. We started out by learning how to create and animate a ball bouncing vertically. Once we learned that we got into the process of learning how to make the ball bounce in arcs. We also had to know that the more balls there are in an arc the longer it takes for the ball to bounce and the less amount of balls in the arc the faster it goes. For this project we used Adobe Photoshop, everything we did was new to me because I've never animated before. I would have liked to have gotten it quicker so I could have had more time to do the animation.

Website Design

Our final semester project was making our own website on Adobe Dream Weaver. To make it we had step by step video instructions to follow. It was somewhat challenging for me because I have never used Dream Weaver before. During the process I got to know how Dream Weaver worked. Making a website is very challenging and has a lot of steps to it. It was challenging and new which is good but I didn't really like it. I learned that you need to have a basic understanding of code. For a first timer I think I did pretty well although there where parts where I gave up and stuck to the second best. Next time I do this I will try to be more observant and learn more on the whys and hows of it.

Logo Design

On a piece of paper I started off with drawing my name in multiple fonts to see how I would position my initials. When I finally decided on a design I started drawing shapes around it until I came upon something I liked. After I decided on three ideas I liked, I went onto Adobe Ilustrator and messed around with the shapes and style working around the first ideas I came up with. After that I added color and chose the one I liked the most.

Oz Poster

Contrast- The yellow on the green makes it stand out and reel in your attention. Alignment- I lined things up along the edges to keep it clean. I made sure the sentences and words had correct spacing. Repetition- I used the same 2 colors. Proximity- I grouped the important things together.
